Kaya Wheeler – of Anishnaabe and Nehiyaw descent – is a registered member of Sagkeeng First Nation in Manitoba. She graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a bachelor of arts in Indigenous Studies, and has been working within the Indigenous community in Winnipeg for more than 10 years. She has spent a large portion of this time working with Indigenous youth in many areas, including acting and storytelling for theatre. For the last 5 years she has specifically worked with emerging and mid-career storytellers in film, tv and digital media. She has had experience both volunteering and working on film sets, and even had a small stint on the stage and in front of the camera.
Niki Little is a producer at the National Film Board. She is Anishininew/British from Kistiganwacheeng (Garden Hill FN, MB), and based in Winnipeg. As a Producer, Little aims to amplify voices, push boundaries in both form and narrative, and engage in socially driven projects. Her practices are rooted in Indigenous epistemologies and community-based strategies. From 2019-2021, Littler served as the Artistic Director at imagineNATIVE in Toronto, the world’s largest presenter of Indigenous screen content.
Tanis Parenteau (Métis/Cree) is an actor/producer and member of the Métis Nation of Alberta. Acting credits include – TV: Billions, Gossip Girl, FBI: Most Wanted, Designated Survivor, House of Cards, Tribal. Film: ReEntry, Sweet Summer Pow Wow. NYC: The Public Theater, Signature Theater, 59E59 Theaters. Regional: OSF, Geva. Producing broadcast credits: ARTÉ, APTN lumi, and PBS. Tanis’s projects have been funded by Canada Council for the Arts, Alberta Media Fund, Alberta Media Arts Alliance Society, Indigenous Screen Office, Bell Fund, and Vision Maker Media. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from The New School for Drama.
Kaniehtiio Horn continues to demonstrate creative versatility by challenging herself as an actress, writer, producer, and director. She earned multiple 2025 Canadian Screen Award nominations for her feature directorial debut, SEEDS, including Best Leading Role (Comedy) and Best Original Screenplay. The Indigenous genre-bending horror, which she also produced and stars in, had its world premiere at the 2024 at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Horn’s other credits include Lionsgate’s thriller, ALICE, DARLING alongside Anna Kendrick, Peacock’s hit comedy series RUTHERFORD FALLS, FX’s Emmy-nominated series RESERVATION DOGS, and her award-winning performance in the cult comedy series, LETTERKENNY, the latter for which she served as producer on its spinoff, SHORESY.
She will appear next in the FX series THE LOWDOWN, with Ethan Hawke, and voices the role of Wynona Whitecloud in the animated sitcom GRIMSBURG, which will begin its third season on Fox in 2026.
