Michelle Szemberg is a Toronto-born, award-winning film editor and graduate of York University. After starting as an assistant editor, she built a career editing acclaimed feature films including Below Her Mouth, Un Traductor, and Queen of the Morning Calm, which premiered at festivals including TIFF and Sundance. Her television credits include Between, Northern Rescue, and The Expanse. Michelle is also a dedicated mentor and educator, teaching editing at York University and the Canadian Film Centre. Most recently, she edited All My Puny Sorrows, which premiered at TIFF and earned DGC and Canadian Screen Awards for Best Editing. She is currently editing the feature film Neverman.

Anna Catley is a Toronto-based film editor whose work has premiered at TIFF, Sundance, and BFI Flare. A three-time Canadian Screen Award nominee, Anna's credits include Sook-Yin Lee’s Paying For It, Karen Knox’s We Forgot to Break Up, and Nicole Bazuin’s Thriving: A Dissociated Reverie, as well as music videos and performances for Simple Plan, H.E.R., Alessia Cara, The Tragically Hip, and Mother Mother.  Anna is an alumna of the Canadian Film Centre’s Editor’s Lab and the Berlinale Talents Editing Studio.

D.W. Waterson is an award-winning non-binary filmmaker and electronic music artist. Their critically acclaimed debut feature film, BACKSPOT, starring Evan Rachel Wood and executive produced by Elliot Page, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and SXSW. The Hollywood Reporter called BACKSPOT “sensitive and stylish,” while Letterboxd described it as “a visceral debut.”

Waterson is also the creator of the 40+ award-winning digital series THAT’S MY DJ, which has amassed over 6 million views and earned a Canadian Screen Award nomination. A 2024 Toronto Life Rising Star, Waterson has spent a decade in Toronto’s underground music scene, opening for artists such as Peaches and Idris Elba. They are currently developing their second feature film."

Kayla Stewart is a sound effects editor with nearly 15 years of experience working in the Toronto film industry. After graduating from Film & Television Production at Humber she spent four years as a staff editor before joining the DGC. She has worked on everything from factual/reality to major motion pictures, with a particular fondness for series television and getting to work with the same crew over multiple seasons. Notable recent work includes sound editing on Apple+ children’s series Fraggle Rock, popular Hallmark time-travel series The Way Home, and comedy/horror feature Forbidden Fruits which premiered at SXSW in 2026.

Lindsay Allikas is an editor working in film, television and documentary. She has had the pleasure of collaborating with directors on the feature films Seeds (Kaniehtiio Horn), Concrete Valley (Antoine Bourges), The Swearing Jar (Lindsay MacKay), Crystal Pite: Angels’ Atlas (Chelsea McMullan),  American Woman (Semi Chellas) andThrough Black Spruce (Don McKellar). Her television work includes  Small Achievable Goals,  Workin’ Moms, Children Ruin Everything, Run The Burbs, Tall Boyz,In The Making, Anne With An E, and Michael: Every Day. Allikas grew up bilingual in Montreal, received a BFA in Film Production from UBC and currently resides in Toronto.
